Now where is more beautiful than the Glen in May – OK, so I’m biased! The trees look so full of life, the birds are busy, the red squirrels getting more cheeky, the calves and lambs growing, and the rhodedendrons just waiting to burst into full glory. Who wouldn’t want to come here?

I have been learning lots recently about googleads and google analytics and the website has been attracting a lot of traffic. This is great on one hand, but though many visitors go to the ‘contact’ page, we don’t receive anything like the same number of enquiries. Does anyone ‘out there’ have any idea what else we could do to ‘convert’ these enquiries?

Do remember we would love to know what it is you want from your break away. We will do whatever we can (within reason!) to add value to your holiday experience.

Oh – and by the way, though I can’t guarantee it on a regular basis, baby calves are currently being born in the field next door – adorable!

Update on the birds – the house martin chicks are developing fast as are the nestful of spotted flycatchers. We seem to have three pairs of the latter this year which is great.

The red squirrel continues to raid the bird food on the ‘squirrel proof’ feeder…hey ho – we really rather like it!

Birds and more birds

The swallows have been around for a while, getting settled in, nattering excitedly from their vantage point on the top of the sky dish, nest building and providing plenty of acrobatic flying displays, however the house martins have only just arrived – I think it is quite late. Does anyone else agree?
